A recent survey by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NITA) shows that online users are taking notice to data breaches and are changing their online behaviors as a result. According to the survey, 19% of users had been affected by a breach in the prior 12 months. Of the 19% who reported a breach, a markedly higher number cut back on using online services for things such as financial transactions and online shopping as opposed to those who had not reported a breach.
