CFOs historically have played a major role in an organization’s risk-mitigation efforts. As the roles of finance and technology grow increasingly intermingled, so too does the concern for cyber attacks and threats within the organization. A survey by Grant Thornton shows that around half of the CFOs surveyed indicated cyber-threats as a chief concern, and around 95% of Chartered Global Management Accountants (CGMAs) surveyed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) said they worry about their businesses suffering data breaches.
