The Sports Club Company operates a nationwide group of sports and fitness clubs. The Sports Club has been developed as an "urban country club" offering a full range of sports and fitness programs, services and amenities marketed to affluent, health conscious individuals who desire a premier Club. The Sports Club Company operates The Sports Club/LA in Los Angeles, Rockefeller Center and the Upper East Side in New York City, Washington D.C., Boston and San Francisco. The also operate The Sports Club/Irvine, Reebok Sports Club/NY and The Sports Club/Las Vegas.
Technology's Edge was brought on board to The Sports Club headquarters in Los Angeles to design and deploy a solution to deliver its proprietary business application over a Frame Relay Wide Area Network. The goal was to provide an efficient and cost effective means to allow users at all of its locations to run its software applications.
Technology's Edge implemented a high availability Citrix server running on HP Compaq Proliant rack mount servers. By running and maintaining its club business software from a central location in LA, The Sports Club was able to save a considerable amount in hardware, software and installation costs.
Recent projects include the design of a Virtual Private Network (VPN) solution based on Netscreen firewall appliances, a new mail solution that better supports their growing user base and incorporates AntiVirus and AntiSpam controls.
